Ever since that visit, we have occasionally dropped by the store to look at their jewellery collection. JANNPAUL Lab Diamonds Recently, we discovered that JP started to carry lab diamonds. Hence, we decided to drop by their store again to find out more from Eugene, about the lab diamonds in colorless and fancy colors.  The lab diamonds from JP are are guaranteed to be free from stria or off hues and are all Type IIa, the chemically purest makes and are AGS or GIA certified only. They are available from D to F colors, fancy pink and blue, with  VVS1 to VS1 clarity. - uses the highest quality carbon seeds only - never reuse our carbon seeds - do not add catalysts (eg. Boron, Aluminium or titanium ) to speed up the growth process - their growing chambers are contaminant

My Diamond Wish List

My long time obsession is with Diamonds.

Bright, sparkly, and never cease to bedazzle, mesmerize and command my full attention.

Since young, I ever fail to drool over anything bright and sparkling. I will collect faux diamond stickers whenever I can get my hands on them. At one point, I even dreamt of becoming a diamond jewelry designer.

Although design is in my blood, somehow along the way, I ended up as an..... IT product manager. 😒 Ya man, what happened to me sia?!

My spouse, then BF, has been the one who purchased all the diamond accessories for me. So far he has gotten me 3 rings, 2 necklaces, 1 bracelet and 1 pair of earrings.

Since we were on a tight budget (I had forbid him from spending too much as we were still young, with miserable little savings), all of them were inferior, ungraded diamonds from Taka Jewelry. To add on, both of us were diamond noobs. Back then, we did not research on how to choose the best diamond based on the 4Cs and only purchase what we were able to afford.

For our wedding, my MIL gave me a diamond necklace and a bracelet. They were specially custom made from Poh Kim Jewellery . That was more than 15 years ago.

Last year, we decided to consolidate all the diamond accessories (except for our wedding rings and the custom made gifts from my MIL) and redesigned them into 2 special rings, 1 for myself and another for my spouse. They represent a new journey which both of us are embarking upon. The entire design process took us a few weeks to conceptualize and complete. 

I will blog about the entire process next time - so sorry, am too busy with my work and other blogs.


You can see from the photos, the diamonds are not well cut. Nonetheless, we have decided to keep them for sentimental reasons.


We have incorporated the inverted and embedded diamond designs since they are considered auspicious ("包钻").
