Repeated Visit 

To recap, during our last visit in 2020, Eugene Seah walked through with us on the what we should look out for when choosing a diamond, before introducing their White Series Decagon diamonds. Ever since that visit, we have occasionally dropped by the store to look at their jewellery collection.

JANNPAUL Lab Diamonds

Recently, we discovered that JP started to carry lab diamonds. Hence, we decided to drop by their store again to find out more from Eugene, about the lab diamonds in colorless and fancy colors. 

The lab diamonds from JP are are guaranteed to be free from stria or off hues and are all Type IIa, the chemically purest makes and are AGS or GIA certified only. They are available from D to F colors, fancy pink and blue, with  VVS1 to VS1 clarity.

- uses the highest quality carbon seeds only

- never reuse our carbon seeds

- do not add catalysts (eg. Boron, Aluminium or titanium ) to speed up the growth process

- their growing chambers are contaminant free

- ensures constant electricity supply (no restart during growth process which causes the stria effect ) 

- are from the same grower to ensure quality and ethical practices.

In addition, do take note that lab diamonds from JP are not eligible for trade ups. The price list is as follows.

JP diamonds are of the highest quality. In the store, Eugene also demonstrated the difference in the performance by doing a side by side comparison of the 3EX GIA certified diamonds with their White Series.

JP recently started to introduce their version of Trilliant cut diamond, the Shield 2.0.

 We also get to experience their Emerald 2.0 in person.

My Takeaway

JP mined and lab are indistinguishable in person; there is no blue nuance in their lab diamonds. With the introduction of their White Series lab diamond, consumers like us will have a wider option when it comes to selecting engagement, wedding rings and daily wear jewellery. 

In particular, their fancy colored White Series lab diamonds are pretty value for money, since there are many inferior cuts, badly grown and low quality colored lab diamonds in the market. I am especially impressed by their Heart White Series and their fancy intense pink collection. The JP fancy intense pink in ❤️ shape has definitely made it on my wishlist. As for my spouse, he fell in love with the Shield cut, which is very different from the typical trilliant shaped diamond.
