Anna Dora Luxe Review 2021 APR

I stumbled across Anna Dora Luxe Jewelry by chance last year, when I was poking around Instagram for pretty precision cut gems. The following photo caught my attention and made it into my top 10 favorites back then.

Ironically, I did not realize that Anna Dora Luxe Jewelry is a highly reviewed local jewelry bench and is well known for their bespoke custom pieces. Therefore, I was so glad that I have uncovered a hidden gem during my search for a reputable jewelry bench in Singapore!

What I have purchased

The backstory...due to the workmanship issues my friend has encountered with James Allen (will blog about it later) and with me B2CJewels, I decided to decouple the following processes;

(1) Purchase and delivery of the loose diamond 💎;
(2) Creation and delivery of the semi mount ring 💍;
(3) Assembling the loose diamond together with the semi mount ring prior the polishing of the ring, for a squeaky clean finish and;

(4) Finally the ring is buffed to give it a shiny luster before it gets to sit on my finger! 🖐️

The advantage of this approach is 2 fold; firstly the time taken will be shortened by half ⌛, since the delivery of the loose diamond and the creation and delivery of the semi mount ring will be done in parallel. Secondly, if there are any issues with the workmanship of the semi-mount ring, especially with the prongs, I can easily return it and purchase another one ✔️.

Once the loose diamond 💎and the semi mount ring 💍 has arrived in perfect condition, any issues with the mounting and polishing by a local jewelry can be easily isolated and rectified locally. So I get to have my dream diamond ring earlier and faster!

However, the critical success factor for this ambitious project is that I have to find a reputable jewelry bench in Singapore for the final step (3) & (4) - which is to assemble the loose diamond together with the semi-mount ring. Unfortunately, a quick search at PriceScope yields nothing...🤦‍♀️

This is where Google Review is my best friend! Arh...wonders of modern technology; I realized that I have been following the Anna Dora Luxe Jewelry's Instagram account all along!

I made the first contact through the Instagram account and the replies are very prompt. Even though it was just a simple enquiry, out of all the vendors I have enquired, Audrey made me feel assured, was professional and transparent throughout my online engagement with her. The information she has thoughtfully provided includes the quality of their workmanship, the scope of work, the estimated time taken to attend to my request, the opening hours, and which timings to avoid if I want to collect my ring on the same day.

Since I have been stalking their Instagram account, I am already impressed with their wide range of customised jewelry and precision cut gems. Therefore, this made me decide to go ahead with Anna Dora Luxe Jewelry.

Appointment - Very Pleasant Experience

On the day of the appointment, me and my spouse arrived on time and Audrey was already in her office waiting for us. We did not encounter any issues reaching the office since we had visited the building many times.

We were expecting a chaotic and messy office, and therefore very pleasantly surprised that the entire place is extremely well organized and neat.

Audrey's room oozes a stylish, minimalism appeal with its white washed walls and strategically placed plants as adornment. Pardon the weird smartphone camera angle...ever since the COVID pandemic, we have stopped bringing our DSLR around.

While we were there waiting for my ring to be completed, Audrey kept us occupied and shared with us the trends, types of customised jewelry services her clients usually request, and how her clientele's taste has shifted throughout the years. Although Audrey looked young, her knowledge and strong business acumen shone through!

Anna Dora Luxe Jewelry's deep in-house expertise and workmanship are also evident. Case in point? Look at this amazing Royal Blue Sapphire Ringdant! This is the first time we have seen one in person. For the uninitiated, "Ringdant" is a piece of convertible jewelry, which can be worn both as pendant or ring. The workmanship is impeccable!

Our patience is rewarded handsomely and my Fancy Intense Pink has been set in the tiny halo ring design of my choice. The execution by Anna Dora Luxe Jewelry is flawless; all of the prongs are evenly flat, they secure the diamond well and the stone does not rattle*. The diamond pointed Culet aligns with the center of the ring gallery perfectly, and the head of the center stone also sits parallel to the ring bridge.
