Let me repeat my backstory...due to the workmanship issues my friend has encountered with James Allen (will blog about it later) and with me B2CJewels, I decided to decouple the following processes; 

(1) Purchase and delivery of the loose diamond 💎;
(2) Creation and delivery of the semi mount ring 💍; 
(3) Assembling the loose diamond together with the semi mount ring prior the polishing of the ring, for a squeaky clean finish and;

(4) Finally the ring is buffed to give it a shiny luster before it gets to sit on my finger! 🖐️  

The advantage of this approach is 2 fold; firstly the time taken will be shortened by half ⌛, since the delivery of the loose diamond and the creation and delivery of the semi mount ring will be done in parallel. Secondly, if there are any issues with the workmanship of the semi-mount ring, especially with the prongs, I can easily return it and purchase another one ✔️. 

Therefore, in my quest for a reliable seller that carries beautiful semi mounted rings of quality workmanship, Jewe2004 eBAY caught my eye. It provides free standard shipping from China/Hong Kong/Taiwan to worldwide and its factory is located in Guangzhou, China. With over 3,645 feedbacks, and eBay presence of over 13 years, Jewe2004 eBAY seemed to be a safe choice for newbies like me. Furthermore, the diverse range of 14k and 18k gold pretty semi-mount rings and reasonable pricing were the main factors that made me decide to try out this store. Aside from semi-mounted rings, it also supplies earrings, pendants, necklaces, gemstones and pearl jewelry.

What I have purchased

The semi-mount rings💍 which Jewe2004 eBAY carries are amazingly beautiful. Therefore, I really have a hard time choosing the 2 semi mounted ring designs for the 2 loose diamonds which I have purchased in February and April. 

The 1st semi mount ring design is a simple 1mm halo design in 18k white gold. I liked the idea of having a halo mined diamonds design with that has a "V" profile and furthermore, the delicate baby claw ring prongs also won me over.

I love this design so much that I ordered something similar for the 2nd semi-mount ring design; it is a slightly modified design with a 1.5mm halo design in 14k rose and white gold, with a 1.2 to 1.5mm knife edge shank. This is my favorite design so far!

I contacted the seller through my spouse's eBay account and Nancy made sure that each and every of my enquires are promptly addressed. Although the replies during weekends are slower, Nancy made me feel assured, was professional and patient throughout my engagement with her. In fact, Nancy is actually quite proficient in English and we do not have issues discussing my requirements. Furthermore, for customized designs, she provided a CAD image file after the confirmation of my order. 📦 Both the packages came securely wrapped, and the semi-mount rings are delivered in the white and red jewelry boxes as shown in the photo above.

I have made the 1st purchase in March, followed by another purchase in May. Based on the experiences of these 2 purchases, my orders took around 10-14 days to manufacture, and around 2-3 days to arrive!  Hence, the entire waiting time is around 2 weeks or so. The best part, Jewe2004 eBAY uses  DHL 🚚 for delivery! Once the order has been shipped, I will receive the tracking number from the eBay account.

Quality of the product

My patience is rewarded handsomely and petite tiny halo semi-mount rings arrived in perfect condition. With the help of the 30x scope, I was able to check the workmanship of these rings. The surfaces of both semi-mounted rings are smooth with minimal scratches. There were no dents and lumps on the surfaces of these rings.

The prongs are aligned perfectly and delicate baby claw prongs are nicely done too. Each halo and pave diamond is securely set and a few diamonds have faint fluorescence under UV lighting. The dimensions of the halo and pave diamonds are as described in the eBay product description pages.

The semi-mounted rings fit perfectly with the diamonds, with minimal or no gaps once they are set. In actuality, the diamond setters did not encounter any issues while setting the loose diamonds!  ✨

Lastly, I am pleased to find out that each semi-mounted ring has been correctly stamped with 14k and 18k 750 gold markings.

My Takeaway

I understand from Nancy that their company has over 2 decades of experience and she has worked in the jewelry industry for over 12 years. Moreover, I have seen many repeated customers from the eBay feedbacks, and some have praised for their precise execution. Due to my x2 positive experiences, I definitely will not hesitate to work with Jewe2004 eBAY again for my further jewelry projects! 😃
