I have been hunting for a tennis diamond bracelet, after completing my fancy coloured lab diamond bling spree. My interest in diamond bracelet was piqued after my spouse gifted me an art Deco styled mined diamond bracelet from Taka, a few months back. It was a dainty, everyday wear piece which I loved it to bits.
What to look out for prior purchasing a tennis diamond bracelet
Here are 8 areas to look out for, prior making any tennis diamond bracelet.
#1. Type of Gold
When it comes to solid gold jewellery, the amount of gold is measured in percentage of gold used per karat. The higher the karat, the more expensive the jewellery and the softer it is, and more easily the jewellery bends out of shape. Hence, if you have a pretty active lifestyle or is careless in handling your jewellery, a 14k or 10k gold jewellery might be more suitable for you since it is more hardy.
#2. Color of Gold
The white gold setting makes a colorless diamond appear bigger, while yellow gold enhances the fancy yellow or lower graded colored diamond.
#3. Bracelet length
Bracelet length affects the carat weight used for diamonds. Generally the longer bracelet, the heavier diamond carat. The standard length is 7 inches and therefore, a 7.5 inch tennis bracelet will have a heavier diamond carat, even if the diameter of each diamond is the same.
#4. Carat Weight
Most tennis bracelets are sold in carat weight, and putting less emphasis on the size of the diamonds. Nevertheless, a 7.5 inch tennis bracelet will appear thinner than a 7 inch diamond tennis bracelet of the same carat weight. Hence, you should also keep a look out for the dimension of the diamond used.
However, when it comes to comparing two tennis bracelet of the same length, a heavier carat weight does not necessarily mean larger diamonds are used. This is because, the diamonds might be cut very deep which results in smaller face up dimension. When this happens, it is best to check with the vendor on the diamond dimensions used.
#5. Number of diamonds
Another easier way to compare the diamond size, is to look out for the number of diamonds used per inches. The lower number of diamonds used, the larger the diamond size for the same length and carat.
#6. Color and clarity grade of diamonds
Aside from the color, the clarity affects the sparkle of the tennis diamond bracelet. When the diamonds used fall in the I range, the diamonds will appear opaque and not sparkle as much as those in the SI and VS range. The effect will be amplified when larger diamonds are used.
#7. Tennis setting style and clasp design
There are many types of settings to choose from, four-three-two prong or bezel-half-bezel set diamond tennis bracelet. In general, the diamonds are more secured when more prongs used and depending on how the tennis bracelet four prong settings are designed, the diamonds will look more rounder or squarish.
As for the clasps, they come in either double side or single lock clasp, and some vendors do not set diamonds on the clasp. Aesthetically, the bracelet clasp that is set with diamonds, will look much better.
#8. Type of diamonds
The lab grown diamond tennis bracelets are also available from big vendors like
James Allen. They offer a much more budget friendly options for consumers, who prefers lab diamonds.
Lab-grown diamonds are diamonds that were grown bin a lab and they share the same chemical makeup as natural diamonds, and are optically identical. The biggest differences between natural and lab-created diamonds are how they’re made, how rare they are and the price. ✨

Alex Park parksfinegroupinc
I was introduced to Alex Park parksfinegroupinc a fine jewellery Instagram seller by the
Pricescopers. From my research, it seems that Alex Park was active in Etsy and eBay platform, before he decided to stay with
Instagram, where he can engage with his customers better. Recently, although he also launched his
online store, most of his latest offerings are launched in his Instagram account first.✨
Although I had originally intended to purchase the lab tennis diamond bracelet from
James Allen - was going to pull the trigger during its next 25% off. However, Alex's lab diamond tennis bracelets grabbed my attention, since they are sold at an extremely competitive quality and price point too.
In the end, I made my choice with Alex, due to the following 2 main considerations:
1) The tennis bracelet he has in stock is much shorter, at only 6.25 inches (James Allen bracelet is sold at 7 inches).
2) Furthermore, Alex is able to shorten the bracelet prior shipping, (James Allen does not provide shortening services) so that I do not have to look for my local bench to do it.
Quality of the service

Placing an order is straightforward; simply keep a look out for the items you want to purchase and Direct Message (DM) in the Instagram. You will need to wait for Alex (or his assistants) to inform you whether if the item you wanted is available. For international sellers, a minimal purchase of $800 USD is required and you need to pay for any international taxes incurred.
Waiting time and delivery
5 out of 5 (Excellent)
After my direct bank wire payment was verified and shortening of the tennis bracelet is complete, my order was dispatched on the following Monday. The delivery was completed within 3-4 days via FedEx. I had many issues with FedEx and thankfully, this shipment is smooth and without any glitches! 🚚
Simple no frills packing with little wastage
My order came securely packed in a simple, generic no frills blue bracelet jewellery box. Yay to no environmental wastage!

With the help of the 30x magnification loupe, I was able to tell that the tennis lab diamonds are in VS range with minimal inclusions! As for their color, my
James Allen True Heart, in color H, appears slightly tinted when placed next to the tennis bracelet! In addition, the measurements are true and measured between 3.9mm to 4.1mm. 📏
The tennis bracelet has plenty of ✨ brilliance and 🔥 fire! Case in point? Just take a look at the poorly taken photo, with my puny Samsung phone. Since the tennis bracelet diamonds are much smaller, I had no choice but to use the micro lens DSLR for the rest of the photos for this blog post.
Pardon the low quality video since I was trying out various video editing platform.
The make of the bracelet is very sturdy and the prongs do not catch on the clothes or sweaters. Furthermore, the bracelet clasp is very easy and smooth to operate. This is unlike the experience I had with my
art Deco styled mined diamond bracelet from Taka, where I struggled to take it off every time.
Oh, did I mention that the customer after sales service is awesome?! MJ, Alex's assistant, helpfully posted a quick tutorial on how to how to operate the bracelet clasp, when I couldn't figure out how to do it! 😊
Color under the different lighting conditions...
As evident from the photos taken, these lab diamonds tend to absorb colors from their surroundings very easily.
Here are a couple of closeup micro lens shots, taken by my spouse. In real life, they are very white, clear and sparkly. They are firebombs under the sunlight too!
My Thoughts
I am extremely satisfied with this purchase! I am so glad that I took Alex's advise to go big when it comes to lab diamonds, so that the savings will be more sizable when compared to mined diamond bracelets. At first, I have initially set on getting a 5 carat tennis bracelet, but then changed my mind and went for a 8 carat tennis bracelet instead.
I would love to work with Alex for my future lab diamond jewellery purchases too, but he is currently too busy to take on any customised orders. Nevertheless, I would still keep my eyes peeled and stalk his Instagram account to keep posted on his next lab diamond jewellery launch!
